  • The project through reforestation of non forestland prevented severe soil erosion and downstream siltation of water bodies
  • The project also supported the recharge of groundwater and microclimate regulation
  • Income generation opportunities for communities (through CFA’s) in the course of plantation activity was provided.
  • KFS provided training to the local communities in Silviculture and Forest management operations, this created job opportunities for the communities at the rate of Ksh400 per day per person
